What I really adore about this photograph is its simplicity, it's a photograph of joy, and it convey the emotion extremely well, the composition is extremely well done, by only including the legs of the person that's holding what seems like a kite adds a sense of mystery to the scene, you always wonder what this person holding on his hands, and who this person is, the little boy is overjoyed with excitement, shallow depth of field adds a lot of depth to this scene while keeping the viewer focused on the subject at hand, the coloring is extremely well done, the low saturation gives it a vintage look and its very appropriate for the theme of this Photograph.

In the area of improving things, there's nothing much to say, this photograph is on the spot in all areas, maybe if you were able to squeeze in the foots of the person it might have improved the visual impact to an extent, but honestly photograph looks perfect the way it is.
